Check the direct service first
The planning notes do not give a reliable Tirumala departure point or timetable. The Kanipakam bus stand is less than 200 metres from the temple. Ask the operator for the boarding point, first and last service, fare and arrival stop.
Connecting via Tirupati
Allow time to descend from Tirumala, change services in Tirupati and continue to Kanipakam. The district government gives about 68 km from Tirupati to Kanipakam by road; the Tirumala leg is additional.
